Cookie policy
1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. It allows the site to recognize you on future visits and maintain certain state (signed-in session, language, preferences). Some cookies are technically necessary; others are used for analytics or marketing. Pixel Squads only uses essential cookies for the Service to work. We do not do advertising tracking.
2. Types and use in Pixel Squads
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
pa_sess | Strictly necessary | Keep your session signed in (login). | Session (deleted when the browser closes or on logout) |
pa_csrf | Strictly necessary | Anti-CSRF token to protect authenticated forms. | Session |
pa_cookie_consent | Strictly necessary | Remember your choice on the cookie notice (not to ask again). | 12 months |
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel or any third-party tracker. We do not use marketing, retargeting or behavioral advertising cookies.
3. Third-party cookies
Some embedded services may set their own cookies when you visit them:
- Google Fonts — serves typefaces (Press Start 2P, Inter, JetBrains Mono). Only loads if your browser needs the font; does not track users.
- YouTube/Vimeo — if we embed video demos. They only load when you press play.
- LinkedIn — if you click the social media icon in the footer/contact, it takes you to LinkedIn (LinkedIn's cookies, not ours).
We have no control over third-party cookies. Check their respective policies if you are interested.
4. Legal basis
Strictly necessary technical cookies are applied by default based on legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) and on the "strictly necessary" principle of article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 (LSSICE), which exempts them from the requirement of express consent.
If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will request them via prior and granular consent through a cookie banner, and they can be rejected without affecting use of the Service.
5. How to manage or disable cookies
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Keep in mind that
if you block the essential cookies pa_sess and pa_csrf,
you will not be able to sign in or use the Service.
6. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy (for example if we introduce analytics cookies), we will change the date in the header and, if changes affect your privacy, we will notify you by email or banner on the site.
